From last two months, health care workers had been hiking 7 kilometers every alternative days of the week to reach the far away village of Malana in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Their intention was to provide the Covid-19 vaccines to a faraway nook of the country settled inside the Himalayas at an altitude of round 9,900 ft. However their efforts had been in vain. Because not a single person inside the  villages in Malana, with around 2,000 citizens, had been ready to have their vaccination.

The residents of that village, who believe they're the descendants of Greek king Alexander, repeatedly refused to get the jab due to the fact that it is against their ideals. They have accompanied their traditions for hundreds of years. Maximum selections are taken via their personal neighborhood governing bodies, however the nearby deity- Jamdagni Rishi or Jamlu Devta, has the very last decision. 100+ persons has got Covid jabs in Malana village of Kullu so far, their vaccination campaign is leading by the district health department. The vaccination procedure will retain till the complete population of the village above 18 years of age got vaccinated.
